Voyages Imaginaires

Voyages Imaginaires was founded in 2020 by Isabelle Doyen and Camille Goutal, who launched a collection of five natural perfumes together that year. Doyen is a longstanding figure in French perfumery: she taught at ISIPCA, the perfume school in Versailles, training perfumers who went on to include Francis Kurkdjian and Mathilde Laurent, and she worked for many years alongside Annick Goutal, developing fragrances for that house. Camille Goutal, Annick Goutal's daughter, originally trained and worked as a studio photographer before turning to perfumery; she learned to compose scent from Doyen in a shared laboratory and now serves as Voyages Imaginaires' artistic director. The two describe the brand as an extension of their own experience as travelers, with each fragrance conceived as an imagined journey, or an 'olfactory landscape,' rather than tied to one specific real destination. The perfumes are formulated using natural raw materials rather than the synthetic aroma compounds common in mainstream niche perfumery, a choice the founders present as central to how the scents are built. The brand is sold online and through select retailers, including Paris perfume concept stores such as Nose; it does not appear to operate its own free-standing boutique, based on available sources.
