Zapa was founded in Paris in 1972 by Gerard Letourneau and his wife Nicole, built around ready-to-wear for what the brand described as active women. In 2006, designer and executive Arie Benayoun took over the brand and its artistic direction, opening a new era for the house with more relaxed, contemporary collections.
