Hataman Touen

Okawachiyama, Imari, Saga

What Hataman Touen is known for

Hataman Touen began in 1926 when Hata Ishimantaro opened a kiln in Okawachiyama, and the workshop later became known for ink-wash mountain-and-water landscapes painted on porcelain under the third generation. The fourth-generation owners still work from the same valley, adding doll figures and Nabeshima-series pieces to the classical repertoire.
