What IDEA Fix is known for
Kraków concept store on Stradomska Street promoting young Polish designers in fashion, art, music, and cosmetics. It shares its roughly 250-square-meter space with Pavilon Vintage Classics.
IDEA FIX opened in Krakow in 2009 as the city's first concept store dedicated exclusively to Polish designers, at a moment when locally made fashion and design had little dedicated retail space of its own. The shop occupies a hidden courtyard space that once housed the Kolejarz Theatre, reached by passing through an entrance courtyard off Stradomska Street -- a deliberately unassuming approach that opens onto a deep, garage-like showroom. Inside, IDEA FIX represents close to a hundred Polish clothing designers, accessory makers, jewellers, and applied artists, alongside vinyl records, books, furniture, photography, and gift objects with a wry, ironic sensibility. The store shares its roughly 250-square-metre floor with Pavilon Vintage Classics, a separate vintage-clothing operation, giving the space a dual identity as both a showcase for new Polish design and a resale destination in the same visit. Beyond retail, IDEA FIX also connects customers directly with the designers, tailors, and interior specialists behind the goods on its shelves, functioning as much as a curated directory of Krakow's independent design scene as a conventional shop.
