What Vistula is known for
Polish menswear brand tracing to a 1948 Krakow state garment factory; the Vistula label itself launched in 1967, shifting focus fully to menswear the year before. Today operated by Krakow-headquartered VRG S.A., alongside sister brands Bytom and Wolczanka.
Vistula's roots go back to 1948, when Krakowskie Zaklady Przemyslu Odziezowego was established under Poland's post-war state industrial system. The company began export production in 1961, and in 1966 discontinued women's clothing lines in favor of menswear. The Vistula brand name has been used on the Polish market since 1967. The business has since consolidated into VRG S.A., a Krakow-headquartered capital group that also owns the Bytom and Wolczanka clothing brands, plus the jewelry and watch retailer W.KRUK.
