What Kiko Milano is known for
Milan-headquartered makeup brand founded in Bergamo in 1997 by Antonio and Stefano Percassi; now over 1,100 stores in 66 countries after L Catterton (LVMH-backed) bought a majority stake from the Percassi family in 2024.
Kiko Milano was founded in Bergamo, Italy, in 1997 by Antonio Percassi and his son Stefano. A shift toward lower prices and faster color-trend turnover from 2001 onward built the business into what is now described as Italy's largest cosmetics and skincare retailer by store count. Kiko now operates more than 1,100 stores across 66 countries alongside its e-commerce site. In 2024, L Catterton, the private equity firm backed by LVMH, acquired a majority stake in Kiko Milano from the Percassi family.
