Paris tie house founded by Francois-Regis Laporte, trained in pattern cutting at the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. Ties, bow ties, ascots and pocket squares are hand-cut and sewn from Lyon silk in its own Paris workshop, sold from its boutique at 42 rue de Verneuil.
Maison F was founded by Francois-Regis Laporte, who trained in pattern cutting at the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne and worked earlier as an assistant at Jacques Fath and press manager at Bruuns Bazaar. Laporte describes Maison F as the only remaining dedicated tie-maker operating in Paris. The house's ties, bow ties and accessories are cut and hand-sewn from silk sourced in Lyon, with roughly 20 minutes of handwork per tie; the workshop employs around fifty seamstresses. Maison F's Paris boutique is located at 42 rue de Verneuil, in the Carre Rive Gauche district.
