What Marcelo Burlon is known for
Milan streetwear label founded 2012 by DJ-turned-designer Marcelo Burlon with Davide De Giglio and Claudio Antonioli, built on wing-print t-shirts drawing on Patagonian motifs; opened its first Milan flagship on Via Manzoni in 2023.
Marcelo Burlon, born in Argentina, moved to Italy at 14 and worked as a DJ, PR and stylist before entering fashion, running the Milan club night 'Pink is Punk' and DJing or organizing parties for houses including Dior, Chanel and Prada. In 2012 he founded County of Milan together with Davide De Giglio and Claudio Antonioli, launching with a t-shirt line built around a stylized bird-wingspan print and tribal Patagonian motifs -- snakes, wolves, birds -- reworked in a modern streetwear register. The label's blend of club culture and high-fashion aesthetics is credited with helping pioneer the broader trend of luxury houses collaborating with streetwear. It opened its first Milan flagship store on Via Manzoni, at the corner of Via Bigli in the city's Quadrilatero della moda fashion district, in 2023. On July 4, 2026, Burlon announced he was stepping down as creative director after a decade at the brand he founded, with the label's in-house design team taking over -- a change that came amid financial instability at parent group New Guards Group.
