Kopi Siholta

Kopi Siholta, operated by PT Siholta Toba Indonesia, works the highlands of Humbang Hasundutan above Lake Toba, where more than twenty partner farming families grow Arabica between 1,200 and 1,500 meters. The company describes itself as fully integrated from farm to cup, and its own facility handles the processing rather than outsourcing it -- washed, honey and natural methods are all applied on site, giving the roastery three distinct flavor profiles to work with from the same growing region. Alongside Arabica, it also sources and sells Robusta, in whole-bean, ground and capsule formats; the capsules are made with 80 percent recycled aluminum, a detail the company highlights on packaging. The business carries BPOM and Halal certification in Indonesia and states its processing meets Specialty Coffee Association standards. With more than fifteen years in the trade and over a dozen international partners, Kopi Siholta now exports roughly 100 tons of coffee a year to more than six countries, with the United States, Japan and South Korea named as active markets and Middle Eastern, Hong Kong, Dutch and South African buyers described as forthcoming. At home, it also sells through Indonesian retail chains and marketplaces including Hypermart and Tokopedia.
