What Ofuku Mochi Honke is known for
Ofuku Mochi Honke has hand-pressed red bean mochi in Futamiura since the Edo period, more than 270 years ago, when the shop supplied pilgrims walking to Ise Grand Shrine near the Meoto Iwa rocks. It remains the town's original confectioner, still selling its namesake ofuku mochi alongside sesame-wrapped mokari mochi.
