X-Barue Coffee works out of Kalibaru in Banyuwangi, sourcing beans grown on the slopes of Mount Raung through direct partnerships with local farmer cooperatives rather than a generic wholesale supply chain. The range runs to six distinct types — Arabica, Robusta, Liberica, Excelsa, Kopi Lanang and Kopi Luwak — a spread most single-region producers don't carry. Kopi Lanang is a specific rarity within that list: a single-bean form of robusta (rather than the usual twin-bean cherry), prized in Indonesian coffee culture for its concentrated flavor. Kopi Luwak, the civet-processed coffee, sits at the other end of the range as the most labor-intensive product on offer. Beyond selling green and roasted beans, X-Barue runs "Wisata Edukasi Kopi" — coffee education tourism that walks visitors through the process from farm to cup rather than just pouring a cup at a counter — and houses an on-site Coffee Library, the Rumah Baca Coffee Library, for public use. Visitors get complimentary samples during a stop, and the operation carries a 4.7-star Google rating. Between the farm-slope sourcing, the six-variety range and the education-tourism model, X-Barue reads as a working coffee farm that also happens to run a shop, not the reverse.
